SPECIAL WORKSHOP FOR BUSINESS OWNERS WHO WANT TO WORK WITH THE CITY 

Join us on October 6th at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero, Conference Room C, where individuals from the Office of Employment and Workforce Development, City Administrator, Treasurer, Office of Contract Administration, a tax professional and business consultants will be available to answer questions and help you navigate the following issues with conducting business within in the City And County of San Francisco and with City departments as a supplier.

  • How to register a business?  How much will it cost? What other taxes and fees will I be subject to?
  • Application for a City Bidder Number.  What is it and how does it benefit my business?
  • I’m working with a city department now, should I become a city supplier?  Can you help me through the process?

San Francisco Housing Development Corporation will host a panel on October 7th, 1-2 PM at Pier 1 (The Embarcadero)

Breed joined State Senator Scott Wiener to announce legislation to combat fencing, the sale of stolen goods on City streets. Authored by Senator Wiener and sponsored by Mayor Breed, Senate Bill 925 (SB 925) would allow San Francisco to create permitting requirements to regulate the sale of items commonly obtained through retail theft and impose criminal penalties for those who engage in this practice.
