Robert Townsend's film about education and closing the digital divide "In the Hive" opens at the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre in San Francisco, Friday, June 15. "In the Hive" starring Loretta Divine, Michael Clarke Duncan, Vivica A. Fox and newcomer Jonathan McDaniel, was produced by Townsend and Rey Ramsey, Chairman of One Economy Corporation, a global nonprofit dedicated to closing the digital divide for low income people. Townsend will be in Town on Thursday, June 14 and will hold a news conference at the historic Lorraine Hansberry Theatre now in Union Square. As the community gathers for celebration of the San Francisco Black Film Festival at Calvary Hill Community Church, Reverend Dr. Joseph Bryant Jr. will host a clergy prayer vigil in answer to national call by Reverend Jesse Jackson Jr. of Rainbow P.U.S.H.
