Congratulations to Chair Al Dixon, the Board of the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre, General Manager Shirley Howard Johnson and New Artistic Director, Steven Anthony Jones for securing the new home for the Lorraine Hansberry Theater. LHT, without a home for several years and the passing of the founders Quentin Easter and Stanley Williams were major blows. Many had forecast it's demise. With leadership of Dixon, the board and interim-director Howard-Johnson, whose resume includes the financial industry and education & homeless prevention volunteerism, the Lorraine Hansberry continued to produce with sold-out productions of "Rejoice" and "Fabulation." Now, the theater begins not a new scene or act, but an entire NEW PRODUCTION with Artistic Director Steven Anthony Jones with over 20 years of theater experience including ACT, General Manager Shirley Howard Johnson, and Al Dixon and the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre Board. Kudos from Wright Enterprises. Let's Support LHT with Treasure & Talent!
