Although characterized as a "gangster," his wrestling coach describes a "champion" who through racial profiling much like that portrayed in "American Violet" was formulated by institutional "group think" into a "gangster." Community Leader Carlos Levexier is known in the Western Addition Neighborhood for "fighting the power" to try to keep Citibank and HUD from forcing the residents of the Martin Luther King - Marcus Garvey Cooperative Apartments, who were close to paying off their loan into a generational debt enslaving loan of millions of dollars.

Northern California Interreligious Conference commends Congresswoman Barbara Lee as she aids the decade long work of the Allen Temple AIDS Ministry in Zimbabwe. The September arrest and detainment of workers in Zimbabwe momentarily halted the work that organizers say will continue with the gracious assistance of the Zimbabwe government. All is well that ends well with the Allen Temple AIDS Ministry.

U.S. Conference Woman Barbara Lee Held News Conference to Support Allen Temple AIDS Workers and pledge financial support via the Global UN Fund. ABC 7 in San Francisco and KTVU were the only television stations to cover the conference. The organizers are very pleased that they showed up for the conference.
ABC 7 focused on the ordeal of the AIDS Workers.
