The Cannes International Film Festival, where 10,000 producers, writers, and directors gather annually, is the marketplace for film. It is an appropriate venue for the African Diaspora to connect to begin to influence images of Africans and those of African descent. Jackie Wright of Wright Enterprises and Jacquie Taliaferro of LaHitz Media were on hand in 2009 and are slated to attend the May 2010 Cannes International Film Festival to bring "Haiti Awareness" before the film industry.
