From the Office of Michelle Davis--UCSF proposes to build a new research building at San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (SFGH) to comply with University of California seismic requirements. The new building would provide an improved, seismically resistant environment for research on the SFGH campus, which is an important part of the SFGH-UCSF partnership and a significant benefit to the SFGH patient population. The June 22nd Health and Wellness Seminar, 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the African American Cultural Center, 762 Fulton Street, San Francisco will focus on Diabetes, Heart Disease and Obesity. Dr. Yates will also sign copies of her most recent book, "Heart Health for Black Women: A natural approach to healing and preventing heart disease. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Members of Association of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE) and Occupy Bernal of San Francisco were told at a San Francisco Employee Retirement Systems Retirement Board (SFERS) Meeting, that Wells Fargo Executives would meet with them. The Wells Fargo Executives had flooded the meeting on April 10 because ACCE/Occupy Bernal whose members include San Francisco retirees are requesting that the board remove its over $40 million from Wells Fargo Bank and remove the Wells Fargo representative on the Board appointed by the Mayor. The group as that no bank representative be on the board causing a conflict of interest. After Wells Fargo Bank executives did not return calls, thus not keeping their word, members of ACCE/Occupy went to Wells Fargo.
